I see used alarm.com cameras for sale on the internet from time to time and would love to save some money and get one but if I were to buy a used alarm.com camera that’s already paired with an alarm.com account and I couldn’t get ahold of the original owner to remove it from the existing account what would my options be to somehow get it removed and then associate it to my own alarm.com account? Also, has this happened to anyone before?
If the camera is registered to another Alarm.com account, it has to be unregistered by the account holder.
The original account holder would have to release them prior to sale, Alarm.com cannot do this. If buying used, you will want to ensure that the seller has removed them from the original account first, be sure that you can return them as well.
