Alarm.com Updates for the Week of 12/16/2024

Enhanced Motion Detection for the Pro Series CSVR

Alarm.com now offers enhanced motion detection to elevate video systems on the Pro Series CSVR (CSVR2000P/2008P/2016P). Users can choose between two modes: standard motion detection or people and vehicle motion detection. Motion Indicators on the SVR Timeline and High-Efficiency Recording will be adjusted based on the mode enabled by the user. The new “people and vehicle motion” mode will not be triggered by inanimate objects, such as movement caused by wind, shadows, or light changes. Enabling this mode reduces the time needed to search for incidents involving only people or vehicles on continuously recorded video. Users can now customize their video recording settings on the Motion Configuration page on the Alarm.com app and website. Alarm.com website or mobile app > Video > Settings > Select a Camera > Motion Configuration

New Audio Option for 4MP Floodlight Camera

We added a new audio option for Perimeter Guard® on the 4MP Floodlight (V729/V729AC/VC729P) video cameras. This new alert tone will also be available for Manually Triggered Warning Sounds. Alarm.com website > Video > Recording Rules > Add New Rule > Video Analytics > Select Camera

Issue Resolved

Alarm.com resolved an issue where an error occurred when attempting to save a thermostat schedule that requested a setpoint change to take place at 4 a.m. using the 2 and 5-day view. Alarm.com website > Thermostats > Schedules

what does the new alert sound sound like?

The new one would be the Warning Sound 2 option which is a rapid upward sweep siren sound.
