Response Modes for AI Deterrence
New response modes for AI Deterrence (AID) allow users to tailor the response voice and select from different message types depending on the use case. Message type options range from default deterrence to messages that inform visitors that a property is closed. Voice options change style, tone, and gender. For example, a business owner who is closed for a holiday may configure AID to inform visitors to come back during normal business hours in a friendly tone. To help users select just the right option, we also introduced the ability to test deterrence alerts without impacting monthly event quotas. These upgrades deliver a more personalized experience and help create the impression of a live operator across a variety of situations. iOS Live Activities for In-Progress Device Commands
Alarm.com now supports iOS Live Activities so that users can stay informed about their systems without opening the app. For iOS users with iOS 16.2 or later (and mobile app version 5.9 or later), they can instantly see in-progress device commands for locks, garage door controllers, security panels, and water valves. These updates appear front and center on the Home and Lock screens. Users can turn Alarm.com-related Live Activities on and off using their phone’s native device settings. iOS > Settings > Alarm.com app settings > Live Activities > Tap “Allow Live Activities” toggle
