I had previously created a schedule for my Z-Wave blinds to automatically lower at sunset and raise at sunrise. I recently deleted the schedule; however, I have noticed that the automation is still running even after more than a day.
While researching the issue, I found several posts suggesting that rebooting the panel may force a synchronization with Alarm.com, so I have performed a reboot and will provide an update later on whether that resolves the problem.
In the meantime, I was wondering if there is a known synchronization interval between the panel and Alarm.com for schedule changes. I am aware that my blinds only seem to report battery status every few days, so I am curious if schedule updates may follow a similar synchronization cycle and simply require additional time to propagate fully.
I think sending the remote command fixed it, since it’s no longer following the schedule. Do you expect this issue to keep happening? Also, should I avoid using schedules even for testing automations if this doesn’t fully resolve?
The command we sent was just to delete and reapply any existing schedules.
I would say you should be okay to keep creating and deleting rules/schedules. If you want to be on the safe side, you can disable the schedules before deleting them. If they still occur while disabled, you can enable and then disable them.
If you have any other issues similar to this, you can let us know and we can send that command again.
