Is there anyway we can update the email notification settings where it only sends you email when alarm goes off for a long period of time instead of alarm ON/OFF? I gets tons of email a day.

While you can adjust your notifications through the Alarm.com website under the Notifications tab to find the best settings to suit your needs, currently, there is no setting governing when a notification is sent based on the length of time an alarm has been activated.
If you want to receive emails when the panel is armed/disarmed but want to cut down on the frequency of the emails, I would suggest adjusting the “Do not send notifications that occur within XX minutes of the last notification” setting under Notification Filtering. This should cut down on the volume of notifications you are receiving when the panel is armed stay/away and disarmed if this is a frequent occurrence.
