Alarm.com for Apple CarPlay

So I can control my garage doors through the alarm.com app on my phone, and through the IQ4 main and remote panel, but not through the CarPlay app?

This workaround of using a Garadget dry contact adapter and connecting your garage door to Alarm.com with a Z-Wave or Aladdin Connect controller theoretically should work around the BS, making it available in Alarm.com for CarPlay and in the MyQ app at the same time. It should work for Android Auto as well.

Another option that might work, in theory, would be to put the myQ garage doors on the myQ app instead of Alarm.com and add something like this:

Then connect those inputs to a Linear Z-Wave or Aladdin Connect Garage Door Controller for Alarm.com. Since the Linear or Aladdin Connect could be controlled through CarPlay, this could be a workaround. Couldn’t say for certain as we haven’t tested this.

We haven’t tested it ourselves to prove it though.
