Viewing live and recorded video locally

  1. Ensure that you have followed the setup instructions in this guide.
  2. Connect a computer mouse (wireless or wired) using one of the USB ports on the CSVR126.
  3. When prompted, enter the password you created for the device during the Alarm.com setup process.

Main menu options

Live View - Select different live view camera layout options and rotate camera feeds.
Playback - Watch recorded video and control play back speeds.
Settings - Initiate a factory reset of the device.

Exporting recorded video locally

Note : Exporting locally requires a third-party storage device.

  1. Plug in the third-party storage device to the USB 3.0 port on the CSVR126.
  2. Log in to the local interface (if password protected).
  3. Click Menu.
  4. Click Playback.
  5. Click Scissor Icon
  6. To select the timeframe to export, do either of the following:
  • Click Date Picker to select a range from the calendar.
  • Drag the brackets to adjust the clip’s start and end time.
  1. Click Save ICon
  2. Using the Device Name dropdown menu, select the desired storage device.
  3. Select the folder on the third-party storage device to export the footage to.
  4. Choose the file format. In Video For…, click to select MP4 or AVI.
  5. Click Export.
  6. Do not remove the third-party storage device until all footage has been exported. Check the progress by clicking Download.

Play back video locally to a TV using an ADC-CSVR126

The Commercial Stream Video Recorder plays back live and recorded video locally to one or two monitors using its HDMI and/or VGA outputs. The ADC-CSVR126 can output the video of all of the cameras associated to it.

To connect the ADC-CSVR126 to a monitor/TV:

Connect the ADC-CSVR126 to up to two monitors/TVs using its VGA and HDMI ports

  • When a single display is connected to the Commercial Stream Video Recorder, recorded and live video are both available on the same display.
  • If two displays are connected, recorded video is available on the primary display and live video is available on the secondary display.

Connect a USB mouse to the ADC-CSVR126

It is recommended to use the USB port on the back of the ADC-CSVR126 and reserve the front USB port for exporting footage. If a USB mouse is unavailable, the control pad is capable of some navigation.

Live video controls

Note : When two monitors are connected, live video is available on the secondary display.

  • Click and drag the live video panes to rearrange them. The ADC-CSVR126 retains this arrangement after it is rebooted.

  • Change the layout to any of the following options:

    • Cycle through different video pages if there are more cameras than the selected layout can make visible.

Recorded video controls

Note : When two monitors are connected, recorded video is available on the primary display.

To access recorded video using the local interface:

  1. Log into the local interface if it is password protected.
  2. Click Menu
  3. Click Playback.
  4. In Camera, select which camera to play back.
  5. In Time, select a playback date.

System functions

Users can turn the Commercial Stream Video Recorder on and off, factory reset it, and log out of the system.

  • Click Factory Reset to reset the device to its default settings.
  • Click Power to access options to log out, shut down, or restart the ADC-CSVR126.
