I’ve seen other post on ADT and have basic idea of what I would need to swap it out but want to make sure before I buy anything…also have a few additional questions as I have a bunch of home automation stuff.
ADT:
I have a Safewatch Pro 3000 alarm panel and what I assume is a Honeywell panel in the basement. I have the following wireless sensors
4 door sensors, 3 window sensors, 2 motion sensors, and a firstalert CM detector which doesn’t work anymore and needs to be replaced
-I have 3 smoke detectors.
The panel has at least 4 hardwired connections but I don’t know what they control. System was installed about 20 years ago.
I also have a Smartthings hub (V1) which connects to all my zwave and wifi devices for home automation (garage door openers, lighting controls, rachio irrigation, etc)
Finally, I have Nest - 2 Thermostats, 1 Protect carbon/fire detector, 1 doorbell cam, and 2 indoor cams.
It seems there isn’t any system I have found that can handle all of this from one app. If you know of anything, let me know (Konnected looks like it is just for wired systems). At a minimum I want to replace the Safewatch panel and get a modern system. The Qolsys IQ Panel 4 looks fine for my needs. I wanted to be sure I can reuse all my sensors. I assume I also need a 345 module? Verizon coverage in our basement isn’t great but should work (today our ADT system is hardwired and we do keep a landline active.)

To clarify, we are an Alarm.com dealer. Accounts through Surety use Alarm.com for remote system access and we cannot support other automation systems like Konnected.
Nest thermostats can be integrated with the Alarm.com account for remote control, but other Nest products are not supported. Smartthings is not supported or controlled through Alarm.com.
Automation devices compatible with Alarm.com are listed here. Z-wave devices can be added to the IQ Panel 4 for control through Alarm.com. Some devices like Rachio irrigation can be integrated on plans that support automation.
If your sensors are wired, you would need a wired to wireless translator like the PowerG translator below:

The IQ Panel 4 cannot be placed in the basement. If you use a wired to wireless translator like above, that can be placed where the old panel currently is. The IQ Panel 4 would take the place of one of the old keypads generally.
The landline would not be used. Panel communication is via cellular and backup wifi.
System was installed about 20 years ago.
If any smoke or carbon monoxide detectors were installed then and still in use those would be expired. Be sure to check the replace by date on any smoke or carbon monoxide detectors as those all have an end of life and become less sensitive over time.
Dumb question about Verizon as I was thinking that module would be integrated in the basement panel - obviously it is in the IQ module so there should be no connectivity issues upstairs.
What is the best method to figure out where the wired connections go? I can post a picture of the panel but I doubt that helps. Can I disconnect the wires one by one and see what shows up on my keypad display?
Not a dumb question at all, that’s what we are here for, but yeah the IQ Panel 4 is an all in one unit with the communicators inside.
For the wires you are referencing, please feel free to post a photo. The terminals they are in will suggest what they might be. Are these in the zone inputs? Or are they in other terminals?
