ADT Smartthings System

I have an ADT Smartthings system currently and would like to switch to Alarm.com. Is there any way to do that since it is a 2GIG panel? Or can I buy a new panel that works with my existing sensors?

The panel u would have to replace sensors I believe so to I’m not sure what radio frequency them sensors run off of that adt version is a weird one

The ADT Smartthings ADT Security Hub appears to be compatible with Z-Wave and Zigbee sensors, which would not be compatible with Alarm.com (only Z-wave devices such as locks, lights, switches, etc. would be).

While the panel itself appears to be modeled off of a 2GIG GC3 panel, the internal hardware is different and it appears that the unit only communicates via Wi-Fi (cellular is required for use with Alarm.com)

That being said, the ADT Security Hub is also compatible ADT monitored security devices, although it appears that those specific sensors may be proprietary, meaning that could not be used with another system.

If I can track down exactly how those sensors communicate, I will report back.

Outside of Z-Wave locks, lights, switches, it appears that everything else would need to be replaced in order to use Alarm.com.

The ADT Smartthings panel does have cellular backup.

It looks like the ADT Smartthings sensors communicate at 2405.0 - 2480.0 MHZ https://fccid.io/EF400156

So they are not the same as the regular 2GIG panel.

Yes i just heard from ADC it looks like the panel itself would not be compatible with service.

Based on the FCC ID frequency, those wireless sensors are not compatible with any Alarm.com compatible panels and are likely proprietary to ADT.

In that case, everything would need to be replaced, save for the Z-Wave devices (lights, locks, switches, etc). Any Z-Wave sensors in use (door window contacts, motions, life safety) would not be compatible.
