I have a friend that has an ADT Alarm System. How can we check compatibility with Alarm.com monitoring?

If your system is an IQ Panel 2/4 then it will be compatible with us as long as the account with ADT is cancelled. ADT does have some proprietary systems like the ADT Command panel which is also a touchscreen but this panel is only compatible with them. If your friend has a proprietary system, then the panel can be replaced and depending on the frequency, all existing sensors can be used.
Service through Surety requires an Alarm.com compatible panel as well as an unregistered, 4G LTE cellular module. If you already have equipment, you can check the status of your cellular module via our Module Check Tool to determine if your system is eligible for service. After purhcase, the website will walk you through the account creation process. Provided you have an unregistered, 4G LTE module, it takes about 5 minutes from service plan purhcase to account setup and connection.
