About to complete initial install and plan to add additional glass break and motion sensors. I plan to call central station and put in test mode, install/test sensors, and then call central station to verbally add the new sensors. Is this correct, or can I configure via Alarm.com web interface?
Any new sensors must be added to programming locally. We have a number of resources if you have trouble doing so, but if you don’t find what you need feel free to ask, of course!
However, yes, you will want to notify the central station of the new zones and their descriptions so they have an up-to-date list of what sensors will be reporting to them. That way if an alarm occurs they can immediately tell you and authorities, if necessary, which sensor tripped the alarm.
