ADCV520IR Outdoors?

Hi All

Has anyone tried using an ADCV520IR indoor camera outdoors? I would like to place one outside my front door which is in a well sheltered patio. I took a look at the Alarm.com compatible outdoor cameras, but they are well over $300 which is more than I want to spend. I was able to pick up a couple of used 520’s for a relatively inexpensie price and thought I would give it a try.

I would recommend not using the ADCV520IR outdoors. It’s not rated for any kind of extreme temperatures and is susceptible to moisture. Even if the patio is well sheltered, there would still be moisture in the air that could adversely effect the camera.
