My new ADC-VDB770 Video Doorbell Camera is not detecting motion or pushing notifications when doorbell is rang. Any ideas? Is it defectivie hardware?
I do see one recording from the camera in your saved clips. Is this an intermittent issue, are you not seeing recordings that you expect or is it just the notifications?
Your device is showing a relatively poor wifi connection right now, and it is connecting to 5Ghz network band.
What router model do you use?
The best practice would be to connect the VDB770 to a unique 2.4Ghz network with unique SSID so that it maintains a stable connection and cannot be shuffled between bands. I generally do not recommend using the camera with a mesh wifi network.
It must be my Orbi mesh causing the issue. I’m not getting any notifications or recordings of motion. Do you have a favorite router?
I don’t have an exact router to recommend, but any access point allowing a unique 2.4 Ghz SSID would do the trick. (Basically any non-mesh router) Orbi has proven a problematic model for various camera and security applications.
