ADC-VDB770 Doorbell - second ring delay

Hello,
My ADC-VDB770 Doorbell chimes fine on the first push.
But I have to wait about 10 seconds to push to get a second chime - is this by design?

In detail - after the first chime ends, if I immediately press the (solid green) door bell button, it blinks blue twice and turns back to solid green with no chime. If I press it again same thing - no chime and the button blinks blue twice and then solid green.
But after about 10 seconds when I push there is no blue blinks and the chime rings again.

I guess the answer is in this pdf (pg 11) but don’t have access

What does the double-blinking blue LED on the ADC-VDB770 mean?

Thank you!

There are quite a few causes for double blinking blue. Consecutive button presses is one:

What causes the double-blinking blue LED?

The battery voltage is too low

Verify the ADC-VDB770’s battery is charged to at least 4.08V (4.16V in colder temperatures). If the battery voltage is too low, leave the device powered on. Wait until the battery is charged to the proper voltage, and attempt to ring the doorbell again.

The battery temperature is too high

If the battery temperature is too high, the LED on the ADC-VDB770 will double-blink blue.

The ADC-VDB770 chime setting is configured to digital and a live view call session is active

If a user presses the doorbell button while on an active live view call session with an ADC-VDB770 configured for a digital chime, the LED on the ADC-VDB770 will double-blink blue.

When the button is pressed too quickly
  • For digital chimes, if the button is pressed more than one time within 30 seconds.
  • For mechanical chimes, if the button is pressed more than three times within 60 seconds.
