Hello. I have a residential alarm system based on the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 with ADC-type cameras associated with it. One of these cameras is an ADC-V724 and has recently begun recording nighttime video with a bluish-purple haze. The remaining five ADC cameras associated with my system are operating normally and are all approximately three years old. I have attached both day and night screenshots of the troublesome camera’s video as well as a night screenshot from another camera that is operating normally.
It looks like the IR may not be on. Do you have IR lights turned off for that camera?
Has there been a change to the amount of nearby ambient light? Brighter bulbs nearby etc.?
Check the settings for the camera under Video Device Info. Is the IR disabled? If not, try turning it off, save, wait 10 minutes, turn it back on, save again.
I also had this problem with one of my cameras and I resolved by changing the IR sensitivity in the settings (Screenshot attached) try setting it to high if it isnt as that resolved my similar issue
IR lights are on and there have been no environmental changes. I did what you suggested, but the actions did not solve my problem. Thank you for the suggestion though.
Well, I should have thought of this before, but what fixed the issue was a power cycle. I have all of my cameras on smart plugs so that they power off/on every week according to a schedule, but apparently the problem came between power cycles.
