ADC-V723 Extension Cord & Power Supply

I need to run about 20 feet of DC extension cord for my ADC-V723 camera. Assuming there’s a decent bit of voltage drop, will I need to buy a stronger power supply to account for the extra cable length? If so, does anyone know how much more power it should put out?

I cannot recommend using a power supply other than what is included with the camera, as this may void warranty or cause issues.

The power supply of Alarm.com cameras uses a 2.1-millimeter DC jack. There is a 9-foot, 2.1-millimeter x 5.5-millimeter DC extension cable (part number ADC-VPE-9FT-W) that can be used with the V723. While we do not carry them, they can be found through other vendors.

If using 2.1-millimeter x 5.5-millimeter DC extension cables, it is not recommended to extend the cable over 100 feet.
