Hello… I was able to obtain a 50-lot of ADC v723 cameras. We want to install a few of them at our boarding school and retire our analog cameras. I am missing the mounting plates for the ADC v723 camera. Does anyone know were I can find this mounting hardware?
I don’t believe the mounting plate for the V723 was ever made available separately. The only part number I am finding is one for a gang box plate. A mounting plate is available individually for the V724 and pro series outdoor cameras, but those have a circular plate.
Mounting the arm directly to the surface instead of a plate is likely necessary unless the plates can be found on ebay.
Thank you for your reply…Yeah, i can’t find that plate anywhere. I might have to drill holes in the base and keep it moving. Or remove that mount… any idea how to remove the mount from the adcv723?
Good Evening!
RE: ADC v723 Cameras
Does anyone know how to remove the mount from these cameras? I purchased 50 of these things used, and they work great, but I need to rewire a few because the wiring was cut too short when they were taken out of service where ever they came from.
Would you mind clarifying so we can best assist? I am not able to picture what you are referencing off hand.
Can you provide a photo of what you are trying to remove? Are you saying the camera tail was cut? (that should never be done.)
Yes…most of the resold cameras have had the tail power tails cut too short. i need to remove the mount on these cameras to repair the female power cord tail
The V723 adjustment screw can be removed, but the ball socket cannot be forced out without damage from what I can tell. The ball looks like it may be threaded and epoxied onto the arm, but that is a guess.
There are no ready disassembly instructions for the hardware like that, a camera in a condition where it would need to be disassembled for repair would just be replaced by an installer.
If the seller did not advertise that these were damaged I would recommend reaching out to them.
Also if the seller did not properly unplug and extract the camera tails from where they were mounted, I would have zero confidence that they were cut with their power supply unplugged. It is possible to short out and damage internal components that way.
Would you mind posting a photo of a camera and the tail showing how short it was cut? In case there are other options.
