ADC-V523 vs ADC-V723

I now have two of the ADC-V723 outdoor cameras. I see the ADC-V523 have been released now. Looking at the two of these, are they the same camera just a different mount and weather rating it seems? Also the 523 allows ethernet where the outdoor(723) is wifi only.

Where I am going with this is, currently the 723 is cheaper than I can find the 523 indoor camera. Any downside of just buying the outdoor version for use indoors if I’m not using ethernet?

Not really. The 723 is slightly larger in physical size then the 523 and is rated for outdoor use.
