ADC-V522IR cannot connect, only IR lights are on

Ive been trying to troubleshoot for a coupler days now. Back in Feb this camera stated it could not connect and finally got around to messing with it. The only thing that is on are the 2 red IR lights on either side of the lens. The camera was connected to wifi, I saw it on my network as well as it was responding with the advanced network info at ADC. I tried rebooting, same thing, as soon as I plug it in the red IR lights are on and nothing else happens. Just for the sake of trying, I deleted the camera and tried to re-add, I also tried factory reset and holding the button down doesn’t change anything.

Is this the sign of a dead camera? Just hoping its not since the camera was connected to network and is still getting power.

When you try to add the camera back are you seeing it show up as an option when on the add video device page, or do you have to try adding the MAC address manually?

Didnt try that yet, so I just tried it and says it cannot find it. I checked my network and I cannot find it now. In have the camera power hardwired through the wall so trying to figure out how to try a wired connection now.

Have you seen this before? even though its definitely powered on, i’m thinking it’s dead.

Testing a wired connection to the router would be a better test of whether or not the camera is functional. Many problems can impact wifi communication, and resetting the camera would reset the wifi credentials in the cam, so that it can no longer connect.

finally able to test wired connection, and nothing still. The only thing that happens is instantly after plugging in the IR lights turn on, nothing else. It’s not on the network, so I guess my camera is dead.

It does sound like that camera has suffered hardware failure and would need replaced.
