Hey Folks,
I have an ADC-V520IR camera that I bought second hand.
Through my online research, I’ve found this camera (branded Vivint) is supposedly a Vivotek IP8131W. I downloaded the firmware file for this camera.
That’s where the trouble starts. My Router finds the camera at 192.168.0.125, however when browsing to that address in any browser (tried mozilla, IE, Chrome + different computers, pc AND mac) it brings up a 404 error message.
I cannot find the camera with vivotek’s setup program, it searches but “cannot find your camera on the network”. So PC access is non existent.
I CAN, however, access the camera feed from an app (vivotek’s IPviewer app for android) However the app is view only and does not provide any actual useful options.
How can I access my camera configuration? All internet searches point me back to “flashing firmware from a touch panel” which I obviously do not have.
I have held the reset button on the camera for 60 seconds. I have powered it down and rebooted. I even tried connecting the camera directly to the network jack on a computer - to no avail.
This camera supports wireless, it has a wifi antenna, however I don’t see how you can configure the thing. Should I not be able to access some kind of configuration through a browser? Vivotek manual for the IP8131w seems to think I should be able to.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.
Cheers
