I installed a ADC-T2000 Thermostat in my house. I replaced an old, Honeywell programmable stat in it’s place. I utilized the common wire to supply power to the stat constantly.
What I’m currently seeing, is that my ADC-T2000 thermostat is reading approx. 2 Degrees higher than my old thermostat, and a remote display sensor I have located next to the stat currently. For example, my house currently is set to 68 degrees (via T2000) and my sensor, along with my existing thermostat both display 66 degrees .
Is there anyway to program in a sensor offset or calibration value? I’ve gone through all the documents/settings and is unable to find anything that could fix this issue.
My last resort was going to be purchasing a remote sensor and locating it next to the panel to see if there is still a 2 degree variance from the remote sensor and thermostat, or if they match up. (Along with upgrading, since I’m currently at v1.10.1 and v1.10x on my TS1)
I am curious if the panel’s power is causing this increase in temperature within the stat.

Yes, if you are a suretyDIY subscriber this would be found under the Advanced tab when accessing the thermostat settings on Alarm.com. Click the configuration gear, select Advanced Configuration, then click on the Advanced tab.
Unfortunately I’m not a suretyDIY subscriber. When the house was built, I did quick research (Because Guardian was trying to sell me a basic system for more money) and ended up going with Link Interactive, not knowing of the full range of options I could do with a 2gig system and other providers. Once this contract expires I’ll be switching over (approx 1.5 years from now)
I’ve going to the gear configuration, and selected advanced configuration…however there is no advance tab available for me.
My panel is at v1.10.1. Does functionality for these features not get processed until the panel is updated past v1.13?
Thanks Jason, I’ve contacted them regarding this. Their response isn’t really what I wanted to hear, but we will see what happens:
Unfortunately, Alarm.com doesn’t give access to customers to the Advanced Settings due to liability purposes. I’ll forward this to them and see what can be done and follow up with you once they get back to me.
Obviously this isn’t the case for you guys as you have that access granted. I will see what comes of it and go from there
I understand. What I am saying is that the best course would be to contact your dealer and request that they make the calibration change for you. I cannot say whether or not this is possible because we cannot influence another dealer’s policy and cannot speak for your current provider.
We are always happy to help! But if a question requires interaction with an account that is not a suretyDIY subscriber it limits the support we can provide, unfortunately.
