ADC T-3000 thermostat hygrometer calibration

I have two ADC-T3000. I monitor humidity like a hawk throughout the house and have hygrometers in every room, and even one next to the thermostat. I also have the humidity alerts configured, and configured it to turn on the A/C if the humidity went over the threshold.

Recently, one of the thermostats started reporting “Humidity Alert (62%)” intermittently. Perhaps every few days. However, all the nearby hygrometers report at the time a number less than this (e.g. 56%) - including the one directly adjacent to the thermostat. I had to disable the rule to enable the A/C.

It seems unlikely that my other hygrometers are wrong, since I I have several I can compare to each other. It seems more likely the hygrometer in the thermostat is wrong. Is there a way to calibrate it?

I’ve looked in the ADC Advanced Configuration page and I don’t see anything related to calibration. I only see temperature trigger settings like Swing and Overshoot.

thank you

There is a temperature calibration option in the “Advanced” tab of the thermostat configuration settings, but no humidity calibration.

There are three configuration tabs for thermostats, User, Advanced, and Installer.

By default most dealers only show the User tab. Surety users can access all three.

You are right it is likely the thermostat’s humidity reading is off rather than the other meters.

I would first try a power cycle of the thermostat. Leave it powered off for a couple minutes.

If that does not have an effect, it may be a good idea to try a factory reset on that T3000, but it looks like you may not be a Surety subscriber, so I would recommend contacting your dealer first, especially if you do not have installer code access to the system as the T3000 would need to be relearned.

I will try the power cycle first. Right now it’s showing the same humidity, so I will wait for when the problem happens again. Thank you!
