ADC-SWM150 Smart Water Valve and Meter - Leak Detector Choices

Hello,

I plan to install the ADC-SWM150 Smart Water Valve and Meter and am deciding on leak detector options throughout my house.

Given the PowerG options seem to all have a separate transmitter and probe (and only two contacts on the probe), I am leaning towards the 2GIG-FT6-345, which offers four contacts (one on top) and an all-in-one design.

One of these detectors will be used nearby a water heater in my garage. Is it possible to deactivate the hot and cold ambient temperature warnings for one of the detectors? I’d also be grateful for any feedback from others currently using this model leak detector.

On another note, are any Z-Wave compatible leak detectors fully compatible with the ADC-SWM150?

Thanks!

To best assist, what alarm panel are you connecting the SWM150 to?

There are no Z-Wave leak sensors compatible with Alarm.com. You can find a list of hardware below

My apologies, Tyler. I would be connecting it to the Qolsys IQ Panel 4 (2GIG & Honeywell 345MHz).

Then your options would be either the 2GIG FT6-345 or the PowerG 9985.

The powerG can be mounted further away and would be recommended if your require increased communication range, as well as encryption.

The FT6 Uses loops Loop 1 for Cold, Loop 2 for Heat, and Loop 3 for Flood. If you want to leave out the heat and cold you can just program for loop 3

This is very helpful. Thank you!

I can also confirm that the ecolink WST-612 flood and freeze sensor works with the 345mhz panel. I chose it for my setup because it is the smallest “puck” style sensor and claims to have a 10-year battery life. It does lack the heat and drip sensors of the 2GIG puck, though.
