So something has changed with its flow rules. Today I started getting alerts for medium flow when anyone takes a shower. I logged in and noticed the website rule had also re-enabled the buzzer and early notification when I had previously disabled several months ago. So I verified the no flow indicator light on the meter and timed running water and I get around 8 minutes of water usage before it shuts down and sends out a medium flow alert. Previously the flow rules were 2 hours low flow, 40 minutes medium flow, and 1 minute high flow. This no longer appears to be the case. For the time being I disabled the medium flow rule so we can shower and use the water like normal.

I’ve sent commands to check the current config and this is indeed the programmed values.
Medium Flow has a threshold of 1 GPM, at 40 minutes.
The usage doesn’t seem to match this though, leading up to the alert. I see a period of 0 GPM, then as you say a shorter period above 1 GPM before the alert is triggered.
To clarify, the only example of this is from yesterday? It wasn’t behaving this way despite similar usage patterns previously? Did anything at all change with the usage pattern locally?
I would recommend power cycling the device first. Then would you like us to adjust the Medium threshold or timer? It would be good to make a change and test if the device behaves as expected or repeats the shorter interval.
In your Alarm.com history I see no changes to any Flow rule recently. The last edits to Flow rules prior to this event occurred on 6/30/2024, according to history.
If this device repeats the malfunction and reports flow alerts when it shouldn’t, the next step would be to factory reset.
So I did power cycle the device and re-enable the medium flow rule and so far this has resolved the issue. Hopefully this is an isolated event. Thanks for the help.
