I have successfully updated the old Concord 4 system in my recently purchased home to the IQ Panel 4 including 3 existing ADC-VC826 cameras (wired via PoE) which work great through the ADC app.
The old system also included an ADC SVR-122 which I have not been able to add to the system. The power supply and ethernet cable are attached, and the SVR is detected on my home network. Both the SVR Status LED and SVR Hard Drive LED are SOLID red. None of the camera LEDs are lit up at all. When I initially tried to set it up on the ADC website, it gave me an error. Now the device isn’t even detected on ADC when trying to add a new camera. I tried reseting the SVR (hold the reset button for 15 seconds) which did not resolve the issue. How do I resolve this issue?
Model is the ADC SVR-122. I do not see anywhere on the device where the hard drive size is specified. Is there another number on the unit that would be more helpful?
There is a removable 2.5inch hard drive inside the SVR case. There were a few different sizes sold by Alarm.com, either Western Digital or Seagate I believe. Is it still using the drive it came with?
The error reported by the LEDs indicates the SVR cannot read or write to that drive. It sounds like there may have been an issue formatting it during setup.
The ADC-SVR122 uses 2.5" SATA drives and supports a storage maximum of 2TB. You can use 500GB, 1TB, or 2TB size drives.
Alarm.com recommends using the Western Digital purple series hard drives for the 500GB or 1TB replacements and Seagate hard drives for the 2 TB replacements.
Finally got around to replacing the hard drive in the SVR-122 with a Seagate 2TB drive. Both the SVR Status and SVR Hard Drive LEDs are solid green after connecting ethernet then power cables. Unfortunately, when I try to add the SVR to ADC the device isn’t found. When I try to add it by the MAC address, I get a notification saying “video device has already been installed”. How can I resolve this?
Please note that this SVR was used before with the previous homeowner’s security setup through ADC (not through Surety).

Are the cameras reused from the prior account as well?
A video device can only be registered to one account at a time, so if that SVR was never deleted from the old account and the old Alarm.com account is still active, it would not be able to be registered again.
Can you send us a private message with the MAC address of the SVR? We can run a search to see if it is registered to another account
