Adc myq hub and a new router

Can you delete it again ? I started to install than had to stop now I can’t seem to get back to the liftmaster installation, it’s almost as if it doesn’t exist

Ok I sent a command to delete the recently installed garage door called “Garage”.

Thank you

Can you delete it again it failed again I want to try one more thing .

I’d be happy to but I’m currently only seeing the one garage door called Garage Door Right. Are you sure the second one is added?

The hub reacts. It beeps it just doesn’t activate the opener (to close the door). The odd part is it works to open it but not close it .

There are some confusing issues which can snowball with the universal MyQ hub, and there is no immediate feedback when they are happening.

I think this is likely a combination of a couple things:

  1. The battery on the door sensor might be low. The tilt sensor battery on the hub doors can go low in about a year commonly, and it is important to replace it because that is how the hub determines the state of the door. If it receives a command and can’t verify the door state the command will fail.
  2. There is actually a lockout on the Hub which prevents further attempts at controlling the door if it believes it has failed a couple times in a row to change the state of the door. The door must be manually controlled and the door sensor must change state. The possible low battery above can complicate this.

So, the best steps to try here based on how you report the opener behaving would be to replace the battery on the door sensor, ensure it is attached in the correct orientation, and then try controlling the door after manipulating it via the wall button.

I connected the second door to the hub last night. As you stated I had to manually manipulate the door to get it to connect. It shows up on adc but it wont open or close through the app or website. What I was thinking was I would replace the batteries and start from scratch . Have you remove the hub and I’ll factory reset it and start over. I think what you mentioned about a lockout is affecting the opener to hub communication. I feel this way because when I press the learn button on the garage door opener it immediately connects to the hub (the learn button light stops flashing and shows it connected to the hub), but it wont manipulate the door . As far as the door sensors go the orientation . If you feel that I’m on the right track you can go ahead and delete everything and I’ll start over tonight.

The orientation is correct

I can definitely assist with that, but if the issue is a low battery and lockout, then restarting the process wouldn’t really be needed.

You would just want to try to replace the battery, then manually open and shut the door a couple times via the wall button. Make sure the door fully opens and fully closes so the door sensor can update the status to the hub.

When the hub sees that the door is operational and can move, you should be able to send commands to control the door.

Would you still like me to delete the hub or would you like to try the above first?

Yes can you just delete the whole thing I’m just going to start over.

Commands have been sent to remove the MyQ devices. Please allow about five minutes for these commands to take effect.

Ok so I started the process over from the beginning after replacing both door tilt sensor batteries. I still can’t get the Left door opener to operate. I can get it to connect but it just wont operate the opener even after trying to manipulate the door using the opener a few times as you suggested ? Any other ideas ? Also can you delete garage door left so I can try it again ?

A side note when I open and close the door manually via the wall button the status in adc updates . It just never opens and or closes the door via the app or adc. One thing I did notice (twice now) when adding on both doors when I get to the point to push learn button on overhead opener it show on the opener the first time I push the learn button that the opener is communicating with the hub as the learn button immediately turns solid. The first door I connect to the hub (garage door right) works as soon as I push the learn button on the overhead it connects and opens and closes on it’s own and shows up in adc and works fine. For some reason on the second door (garage door left) when I get to the point of pushing the learn button when adding the door in, it connects on the first push but the door never opens or closes on it’s own and in adc it proceeds to the next step. Eventually I get to a step where it tells me to push the learn button and then manually manipulate the door via the wall button. When I do this I can tell the overhead isn’t communicating with the hub as the learn button is still blinking on the overhead not solid so it’s not connecting , but by manipulating the wall switch it automatically registers the door in adc . Whatever that first frequency that the hub sends out when adding in the doors is correct it’s just not manipulating the opener .

It’s deleted.

A side note when I open and close the door manually via the wall button the status in adc updates . It just never opens and or closes the door via the app or adc

What is the model number of the overhead that is not working?

What color is the learn button on that overhead?
