Hi. I purchased five ADC-VC836 turret cameras. I understand they go on my home network and are accessible via ADC. My question is, can I also access them via my surveillance software to record real-time video, as I can do with any non-ADC-branded IP camera?
I don’t know if this is foreshadowing or nit, but after installing the ADC-VDB770 yesterday, I tried to add its camera to my surveillance system by using the doorbell’s IP address and port. I was greeted with a dialog that said “Alarm.com: Username: Password:”. No username or password I tried would work; not my ADC site credentials, not my Surety login…nothing. As an aside, I would very much like to know what that username and password is. Thank you.

No. Alarm.com cameras are only compatible with Alarm.com, they are not meant to be used through 3rd party software. They are connected to your Alarm.com account via the Alarm.com website or mobile app only.

The doorbell vdb770 is only added through Alarm.com. Are you referring to the 3rd party software here?
