Activation difficulty - new user from previous owner

I have an iq panel 4 that was used by the previous owner of the home I just purchased. I am trying to do the cellular test but I cannot go to the advanced settings without a user code. I tried 2222 and 1111 and 9999 and it did not work. Any suggestions? It seems I cannot move forward without this code.

Generally you will need to know one of the following codes to get started:

  • Master user code (default 1234)
  • Installer code (default 1111)
  • Dealer code (default 2222)

These are often changed from default though. If you weren’t provided any code it may not be possible to access the system and get it started communicating on a new account. We can send commands to try to start communication but there is no guarantee the panel will be able to respond.

It looks like we received an email about this as well and commands have been sent, I can confirm the panel isn’t responding.

In this case one thing you might be able to do is get your realtor to facilitate communication with the old owner and request the user code for the panel.

Alternatively if you are unable to get any cooperation from the old owner and get the code the existing sensors and peripherals could be used with a new IQ Panel 4.
