2GIG Water Leak Detector Constantly Gives Low Battery Warning

I have 6 Water leak Detectors (2GIG-FT6-345 sensors) connected to my panel and on one of them i constantly get a LOW BATTERY WARNING. I have tried new batteries several times, as well as swapping batteries with the other sensors, as well as trying to move the sensor to different locations. I have also tried removing the sensor from the panel and adding it back. The issue follows the sensor. I tried contacting 2GIG Tec support but they told me I had to contact the monitoring company because they don’t deal with home owners. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I’m not actually seeing any of them reporting low battery at the moment. I see one which reported low battery on 7/30, but was resolved 7/31.

So we can be sure we are looking at the right sensor, please confirm the name of the sensor which is causing the low battery issue in reply.

Additionally, when did the low battery alerts start?
When you are seeing this issue, does the low battery alert resolve for a short time when you replace the batteries? Or are you saying the panel constantly reports low battery for it with no resolution even immediately following batteries?

The Sensor that experienced the issue is now KITCHEN SINK WATER SENSOR. It originally was in a bathroom, then in the air handler closet. After receiving all the warnings, (not sure how far back the logs go) i took it offline and put it on a shelf. This past Monday (07/29) i installed fresh battery and put it at kitchen sink. Several hrs later, I received the warning. I then installed a different battery and again got the error. The error did clear as you can see on 07/31 from the logs and has not re-occured. Lets just leave as is and see if issue reappears. If it does I will respond back to this email. Thx so much for looking at it.

One thing to try, if you can’t resolve a low battery, leave the batteries out of the device for 1 or 2 minutes. Leave it completely powered off. This lets residual charge dissipate and allows the device to restore that condition.

Some sensors require this or the low battery condition will not resolve.

I sure will. Thx again
