Today my SP2 decided to not work …screen is completely black, I confirmed the outlet has power. Sadly I don’t don’t have a similar power adapter that I can use to rule out a problem with the power adapter.

To confirm, when you checked the panel, was the power cable plugged in all the way initially, has the SP2 been getting consistent power and the battery was not drained?
What about plugging it back in on a different outlet and turning it on, still not powering on?
yes…I plugged it in multiple times, on different outlets. Power was consistent.
I have a multi-meter and measure 5V on the connector. Still black screen
There is not a lot of troubleshooting that can be done for this issue. As it sounds like the transformer is still working, its likely the panel itself.

How should I proceed if I bought it from a different vendor?
contact the vendor or contact 2GIG? (I don’t remember having a positive experience trying to contact 2gig in the past)
While i cannot speak to the Vendor’s policies, it would be best to contact them first.
