Hey guys My Grandmothers 2gig fire alarm system Went off 3 times this morning which would scare anyone with it being fire but does anyone know why it would just falsely go off I’m not too Familiar with 2gig smoke detectors but we have had the system for I would say almost if not a already a year now and this is the first time we ever had issues out of it but I’m thinking about replacing it on the safe side so that we don’t have this issue again but wanted to see what u all thought
The first thing I would do is clean it. You can use a can of compressed air or a vacuum cleaner. Dust or cobwebs may be interfering with its sensor.
I’ll look in too but can for now we have zone 10 removed hallway smoke
Absolutely, I changed the sensor type for zone 10 to “no response” so it won’t trigger the alarm.
Can it be delated all together for now
