2Gig Smoke detector expiration

Hi, the manufacture date on my smoke detectors is June 2012 and the expiration year is 2022. Should I go ahead and pre-emptively replace them now, or should I wait for the chirp of death?

Id go ahead a replace now

Unless you really want to hear the chirp of death, it’s fine to just replace now. :slight_smile: Once past the expiration it should start throwing a supervision error that can’t be resolved.
