2Gig Go! Control panel help

I have a 2Gig go! Control panel model 2GIG-GCX that when I power it on it only displays a blank white screen. What can I do to fix this?

Have your tried a full power cycle? Unplug the transformer, then the panel’s internal battery and wait about two minutes. Then plug the battery back in followed by the transformer. Any change?

I would say that performing a factory reset is the least invasive thing to do. Unplug the battery from the board and disconnect hardwire power. While pressing the emergency and home button, plug the unit back in. Do not let go of the two buttons. Keep holding them for at least 45 seconds. You can leave the battery disconnected since you be focused on holding the two buttons. After releasing the buttons, the panel will attempt to boot up. Allow a minimum of 120 seconds for the panel to fully boot up. It’ll either begin working or have the same white screen. The only other option you would have at that point is to use the update tool or update cable to rewrite (flash) firmware to the panel. If those two things do not work, the panel will need to be replaced. These two steps should cover ANYTHING that could have went wrong and is correctable. I hope this helps.

…and my idea should come after trying to remove battery and hardwire power to reset the unit as Tyler said above

I have tried completely powering down and I so tried the hard reset holding the 2 buttons while powering on and I still get the same. So I guess at this point the next thing for me to try would be to reflash it?

At this point you could try flashing the firmware via the USB update cable, although I have not seen this work before.

You can also try leaving the panel completely powered down for an extended period of time (Hour +) but it seems likely that the panel may need replacement.

I agree. If your knowledgeable enough and have the stuff on hand, you can try to flash it. However, if you dont have the stuff to do it with, it might be wise to get a whole nother panel instead of throwing money at a solution that may or may not work

Alright. I kinda figured it was toast I just wanted to see if there was a solution before throwing it out. Thanks for all the help
