Hi, I have a 2Gig-GB1-345 glass break sensor. I got an alert on the panel about a low battery. I put new batteries in it and now it doesn’t do anything, no lights, no tamper reset. Do these just go bad? I swapped the batteries into another one and it works, so I know the batteries are good. Anything else to try besides replacing it.
Thanks.
I have had a similar experience before with an old GB1-345. In some cases the issue may be that the batteries were replaced quickly. Many sensors need a 1-2 minute period of being unpowered to fully discharge and be able to restore a low battery condition.
Has the GB1 been without batteries for a while now? I would try powering it up again after leaving the batteries out for 5+ minutes.
Any change in behavior? If you are using known good batteries and the device will not power up or send any signals it would need to be replaced.
Thanks Jason. I did leave the batteries out overnight and tried it again this morning and it seems to be working again.

Yeah that sounds like it was an issue of batteries replaced too quickly. Let us know if you have any other problems.
