I have a 2GIG Edge security panel through your monitoring service. When an alarm trips, the panel announces which zone/sensor triggered it, but the siren starts at the same time as the voice announcement, so I can’t actually hear where the alarm is coming from.
I know Vivint panels prioritize the voice announcement before the siren kicks in. Is there a similar setting or dealer-level configuration on the 2GIG Edge that delays the siren for a second or two so the zone announcement plays first? If it’s not available in standard installer programming, is there a hidden config option, an Alarm.com backend setting, or a firmware update that would enable this?
If this isn’t possible on my current panel, I’d also appreciate knowing if this is a limitation of the Edge hardware/firmware overall, or something specific to my install.
