2GIG alert: Fire valve: loss of smoke supervision

We’ve had this alert several times in the last 6 months on our alarm panel. We have a fire sprinkler system installed in our home, so we had a fire tech come out and look. They said they didn’t see anything wrong with the fire valve and they aren’t on the residential alarm side of things so couldn’t help us further. Has anyone had this alert and knows what it means?

Fire supervision means that the panel isn’t receiving signal from the sensor. This could be an issue with the battery in the sensor itself or it could be an issue where something is not letting a signal reach the panel like a steel beam in your home near the sensor. Below is a deeper explanation and troubleshooting steps you can perform.

Thanks!

Is the sensor being referenced usually one specific sensor, and where would that be? Or could it be any of the sensors in any of the smoke detectors or fire sprinklers?

By fire valve, I imagine they are talking about the sprinkler system?

The sprinkler system has a riser usually in the garage. It looks something like this. It could be covered behind drywall but has a hatch to get access to it.

The red box should have several wires come out. One of those wires should be a thin wire leading to the wireless sensor monitoring it.
