2 TS1s Failing to Pair

Just bought a house that had an existing 2GIG system. Purchased the firmware cable to update GC2 & TS1 and reset installer code so I could go DIY.

The takeover module is working and I am getting the system setup the way I want before adding monitoring, but I can not get the existing TS1 to pair.

I purchased another TS1 with the intent to put it in the master bedroom, but that one will not pair either. All three devices are on the same 1.14 firmware.

Any thoughts why they won’t pair, but the wireless take over module, CO2 & Fire sensors are able to pair?

TS1s require the panel to have a 900mhz XCVR2 transceiver in order to communicate. They do not communicate over standard sensor protocol. Can you confirm whether you have the XCVR2 transceiver or the standard one? (The main visible difference is the large curly antenna.)

Also, depending on the version you are coming from, we have seen a rare issue related to updating much older firmware versions to the latest, which seems to cause the panel itself to no longer register 900mhz communications. Unfortunately in these situations only replacing the panel itself has resolved the issue.

I do have the 900Mhz XCVR and it was working with the original TS1 before the firmware update.

Before the update I was on v1.9 and went straight to 1.14.

The new TS1 came with 1.14, so currently the GC2, TS1(a) and TS1(b) are all on 1.14.

Should I try going back to 1.9 on all 3 devices or is a new control panel in my future?

Reverting from 1.14.01 to a previous firmware has been shown to default programming, but as the likely alternative is to purchase a new panel anyway, it may be worth a try. I do not recall that helping in prior cases.
