2 myq garage door openers

I have two Liftmaster 8857W garage door openers. From what I understand, these have built-in gateways. Each have the 880LM smart control panel. Trying to integrate them to alarm.com and only one works. Note - Both have WIFI settings configured.

  1. I removed both devices from the myq liftmaster account/app.
  2. Went to alarm.com, added a garage device. It asked me for the Serial Number of the garage door opener. Added the SN # and picked up right away.
  3. Went to add 2nd garage door opener (under emPower). This time, it asks me whether I am adding a MyQ Wall Control or MyQ Enabled GD Opener. Selected the latter and followed the instructions – Times out.

Not sure why.

In step 3) after I select MQ GD Opener, it says “Your internet gateway has been put into learn mode.”. --> Is this putting the FIRST garage door opener (which has the gateway builtin) in Learn mode?

Are there any alarm.com instructions on how to add a 2nd GD opener to the alarm.com account?

Correction on Model Number: Its Liftmaster 8557W.

Ah, it sounds like in this circumstance you need to add a second gateway serial. Adding a “Device” means to add a door to the original Gateway.

We’ve requested the ability to add additional gateways to the accounts through the Alarm.com user website, but I am not sure that is available yet.

If you send an email to customerservice@suretyDIY.com with your 2nd gateway serial number we can get that added for you.
