On my ADC app it states “Window Shade Malfunction” reset repeater, panel. And still shows malfunction
Ironically, I can control the shades from the ADC app and the Lutron app has schedules that are operating just fine

Nope, I don’t see any duplicate response messages anywhere in your recent history. And the malfunction looks like cleared immediately when you sent a scene command.
Malfunctions mean that the device failed to reply to pings or commands, it’s normal for them to occur once in a while.
