Just got finished installing and configuring the new doorbell. Overall I like it, it’s definitely a step up from other brands I’ve tried. I have an SVR on the way so I still haven’t tested the continuous recording yet…
A few minor issues so far. I inserted a fresh 256gb SD card. It’s Reolink brand for reference. I can not find anyway to see it in either the app or the website. I’ve searched all menus. Is this a compatibility issue perhaps due to it being branded reolink?
Motion detect is weak so far. Pic below uploaded for reference. The camera will not detect when the minivan leaves the property. Walking by the camera seems to trigger it but only at close distance (you have to walk in the area between the van and the porch). I have sensitivity set to maximum.
Additionally, the prerecord feature does not appear to work either.
I did check your service package and you are able to set up 24/7 recording. Below is a guide that shows you how to set it up. I believe it should should work with other brand SD Cards but the reliability is where it might have some trouble. It needs to be an SD card made for continuous video recording which could burn out a standard SD card after a few months. I would imagine Reolink SD cards can handle this. I will ask Alarm.com tomorrow and let you know incase there is a known issue using Reolink SD Cards.
Can you try disabling the rules and then re-enabling them as well as performing a power cycle by removing power for at least 2 minutes and then powering back on.
Hi, thank you for the reply. I’ve removed and reset the rules a few times, but I won’t be able to unplug for a few days as I’m out of town. I will try that when I get home.
Small update on it’s motion detect, it’s consistently detecting motion from the van position and closer. But if the van were not there, it would not see a car coming down the driveway, for example.
