Using old ADT system to power IQ Panel, etc?

Moving into a house that has an old wired ADT system. I haven’t taken apart most of the stuff but it all runs to the basement and I was wondering if it’s worth seeing if I can hardwire the panel or anything else. I’ve read that wired is always better but I’d be fine with just taking all the old stuff down and tossing it.

any thoughts?

If you have wired sensors in the home already, you can reuse those with a Hardwire 16F which translates those wired sensors in wireless signals to the panel.

The wiring used between the old panel and the keypad can be reused for the Qolsys panel typically as long as it isn’t too long of a run. You would splice on the plug-in transformer that comes with the Qolsys panel (it cannot be powered off the old panel board.)

Depending on how many wired sensors you have, it is commonly much more cost effective to use the Hardwire 16F
