I have a 2Gig GC2 panel and would like to upgrade to the GC3 or GC3e. I am not seeing either panel in your store. Am I missing it? If i can indeed purchase the newer panel do you recommend the GC3 or GC3e? Also, will you provide assistance migrating the configuration?
I wouldn’t recommend that. The GC3 and GC3e are discontinued panels.
The IQ Panel 2+ 345Mhz version is still the current available panel I would recommend, but it will soon be replaced by the IQ Panel 4. I don’t have an ETA on that model, but it is anticipated shortly following the standard 319.5 model which was just widely released.
2GIG Released their newest system, the Edge. Here is a thread comparing it and Qolsys.
There is no backup and restore from a GC2 to either the Edge or QolsysIQ Panel 2+ 345 version. Sensors and settings would need to be manually learned into the new panel.
