I am in the process of re-activating my GC2 panel. However, I am unable to update the firmware after several different attempts. I tried the updater box option and also have the updater cable which you have to plug into a computer, neither option does anything. I get stuck on the “Pinging” and “No Connection”.

A couple things to make sure:
Be certain you are creating a shortcut and adjusting the target line of the shortcut, not the primary file location.
Make sure that the panel is powered down completely. The panel must have no power, including battery. The software then finds the panel once you plug in the panel power supply.
