Suspend Service

What is the best way to suspend service for a few months and then restart it.

Alarm.com service cannot be suspended, only cancelled.

Should you cancel service, the account is deleted. When you start back up, a new account needs to be created from scratch so all Rules, Scenes, Notifications, etc. need to be set up again. Unfortunately, this data cannot be saved.

As an alternative, you could remove professional monitoring from your service plan and lower your service plan to Surety Alarm. This would keep the account active but lower the monthly cost.

Changes to your service plan are made through the System Manager feature of your Surety account. This process can be done at anytime.

What happens if I cancel? Does my panel continue to work and activate audible alarm if door is open?

Canceling service does not impact panel programming. if you arm the system locally, it will trigger an alarm as normal. The alarm will not be acted upon by monitoring station operators, and you will not be able to disarm remotely through Alarm.com. The system will essentially be a local noisemaker.
