My 13 year old Bosch 4412 's 3G modem is no longer supported and I wasn’t happy with my monitoring costs, so I decided to give Surety a try. I have a mix of 319.5 wireless and wired devices, 18 in all.
I ordered an IQ Panel 4 with the Hardwire PowerG. After mounting everything up I moved all the wired zones over to the Hardwire. Much to my surprise everything just worked, including the wired water leak sensor, gas and CO detectors.
Unfortunately the old keypad was running off of 22AWG wire and even combing two wires together the IQ Panel 4 does not like it. So I’ll have run a new wire.
My wife is very happy not to see COM ERROR on the keypad anymore.
