Hey All:
Looking for smart plugs to program/schedule monthly rebooting of my mesh access points. I assume that’s something the IQ4 can do?
Thanks for any recommendations you have.

Alarm.com supports a variety of plug-in modules which can be found under the Plug In section on the page linked below.

In Alarm.com, scheduling a recurring action is available on a weekly basis, not a monthly calendar. You could schedule an off event with a follow up action to turn it back on, and choose specific times in 10 minute intervals when those occur.
Thank you. I’ll check that out. Is the minimum turn on back on time 10 minutes?
No, it is just selectable in ten minute intervals. You can choose the same time in the rule for that follow up action, which ADC states will run immediately in sequence.
But since the purpose is power cycling a device, if the device should be powered off for a minute or two I would go with the next 10 minute interval to be safe.
Hi. There is another alternative available, although slightly more complicated.
Some z-wave smart plugs accept internal parameters… things like ‘auto power on after x seconds/minutes’ etc.
An example would be a Zooz ZEN04. You would join it to the IQ 4, then send it custom configuration parameters (see list of all parameters here) to set the auto-turn on timer to be, say 1 minute. (Configurable to be 1 - 65535 minutes)
With that, you’d only setup the schedule in Alarm.com to turn the device OFF. the plug would then automatically turn back on based on the parameter setting.
Note: you will need the dealer code for your IQ 4 to set these parameters.
If you are interested in going this route I’m happy to create step by step guidance. Also here’s a link to a quick video on setting z-wave parameters from the IQ 4.
Thanks for that suggestion. I think I’m going to try the IQ PowerG Smart Plug first and see how it goes. Ten minutes downtime isn’t a big deal if it’s in the middle of the night.
