RP Mighty Mouse Micro Door / Window Sensor is not recognized

I have a Resolution Products Mighty Mouse Micro Door / Window Sensor (2GIG/HW Compatible) that is not recognized by the system.

I tried:
· Different batteries
· Different magnet bar
· Learning the code and replacing batteries
· Typing the code (outside and inside of the sensor had the same code)

And no luck. Any advice?

When you say “Learning the code”, it won’t learn in at all will it? I assume that’s what you meant but just making sure.

I’ve heard of people having trouble because some of the pink plastic used to separate the battery from the sensor was stuck to the metal contact that touches the battery, preventing the sensor from powering up. Is there any of that plastic still stuck in there?
