Quick Exit

Is it possible for end-users to adjust the quick exit time period? It is currently 240 seconds, which seems excessive.

Also, is there a setting to require code entry to use quick exit, or are you aware of plans by Qolsys to add such a setting? I have special needs kids whom I would prefer not be able to exploit this feature to go outside unsupervised.

Quick Exit on the IQ Panel 2+ is set to be twice the duration of your normal exit delay, so it can be adjusted by shortening the normal exit delay period. If you need a longer exit delay, set your sensor groups as 12 instead of 10 for Entry doors so they use the long delay.

Normal and Long Exit Delay can be adjusted under Settings - Advanced - Installation - Security and Arming.

This lets you use the Long Exit Delay for the arming countdown, and twice the Normal Exit Delay for the Quick Exit.

If you disable the SIA limits option, this would allow you to set the Normal Exit Delay down to as low as 5 seconds. (so 10 seconds Quick Exit)

Note that currently all doors on your panel appear to be programmed as a perimeter sensor group, which would not work with quick exit or have any sort of entry/exit delay. You need to select Sensor Group 10 or 12 for Entry doors.

I am not aware of this but we are happy to forward all requests to Qolsys as feature enhancement requests! Currently you can require a code to arm but that does not apply to Quick Exit.

Thanks, Jason! I will make the suggested changes to modify the quick exit time period. The feature works fine with my doors set to perimeter/instant alarm; it was just longer than necessary.
