I see in the surety settings, there are a series of calls that can be made before police get called for a security alarm. However it appears that for a fire alarm, the monitoring center would send the fire department immediately.
What is the best course of action to prevent the fire department for being alerted to a false alarm? I have a Qolsys 4 panel.
By default, Two Way Voice and Premise phone number will be contacted prior to fire dispatch. If those two are not applicable, dispatch would occur first.
Special rules can be placed on the account by request to have cell contacts dialed prior to fire dispatch.
We’ve discussed changes to this which I think will likely make it so you can change the order in the system manager soon, but for now it is on special request.
