Opinion on mount location

I just mounted a 721w and wanted to see what everyone thinks. Will this spot work? I am pretty sure it will get wet here and all but to the right didn’t work cause it wouldn’t tilt up far enough

It sounds like this is referencing an image, but I do not see one attached. Do you have a photo of the mounting location?

Trying to attach them. Sorry

Here is what it captures in that location.

The 721W is rated for outdoor use and is IP66 rated. It looks like it should have sufficient cover at that location.

Image looks fine. Remember to use long thin windows for your VMD windows. (think of them as tripwires)

(We’ve deleted what the cam captures for security reasons)

So to cover my whole cam view I’d use 3 and by long you mean from house to road and width being divide whole width into 3?

Can i ask what this helps with?

No, not necessarily.

What you want to use for VMD windows are simply longer windows that are narrow, rather than squares or wide rectangles. The target size, the percentage of pixels needing to change in the window to detect motion, can be more accurately applied and it helps filter out false recordings.

Basically make sure the free-drawn windows are more in the shape of a ruler or yard stick, long and narrow, rather than square.

These narrow windows should be placed where you want to capture movement of individuals crossing that point, and select a target size based on how much of that window a person would take up.

Sensitivity is an overall adjustment which can fine tune the rate of motion events being registered.

Ahh that makes sense. Thank you.
